Tennis has been part of my life for as long as I can remember — through TAMUCC athletics, the friendships built on these courts, and the countless hours that have shaped me both as a player and as a person.
So when it came time to raise the final portion of our mission trip, my wife Lyra and I wanted to do it the only way that felt right: together, on the courts that mean so much to us, with the community that has poured into our lives.
This July, we're traveling with Awakening Europe through our home church, New Life of Corpus Christi, and the South Texas School of Ministry, to take part in the Million Month outreach — a continent-wide effort to share the gospel and invite people into encounter with Jesus.
Come compete. Come cheer. Come for the matcha. Every entry, every gift, every cheering voice helps carry the gospel a little farther this summer. We can't wait to play with you.

Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the TAMUCC Tennis Complex in Corpus Christi. Specific arrival time will be sent in your confirmation email the week of the event.
$30 per player, collected at check-in on tournament day. Cash, Venmo, or Zelle accepted.
Anyone ages 8 and up, at any level. We'll group players into flights by age and ability based on registration responses.
Singles only. Flights will be organized by level once registrations are in, so every player gets competitive matches at their skill level.
Your own racquet, a water bottle, sunscreen, and athletic clothes. Bring a hat — it's a long day in the Texas sun.
No food is provided, but a matcha bar will be onsite all day. You're welcome to bring your own snacks or a packed lunch.
Absolutely — bring family and friends. The more cheering, the better.
You'll get a follow-up email the week of the tournament with your division, bracket, and the time to arrive.
We'll communicate by email and on our social channels. A rain date will be announced closer to the event.
